1. General Refund Policy
Because DocuCognito incurs high computational costs for Artificial Intelligence and Cloud Run usage upon execution, we offer a 14-day refund guarantee under strict conditions. You may request a full refund within the first 14 days of your initial subscription ONLY IF you have not consumed any AI Actions or exported any premium documents.
2. Exceptions and Waiver (EU/UK Users)
If you reside in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you possess a 14-day legal right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. However, by generating documents or using the platform's AI features, you expressly consent to the immediate execution of the digital service, thereby waiving your right of withdrawal and refund.
3. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or via the Paddle dashboard. Cancellation will stop future charges, but will not generate prorated refunds for the current monthly or annual billing cycle. You will maintain access to Pro features until your currently paid period ends.
4. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
We value fair resolution. If you experience a billing issue, please contact us at support@docucognito.ai first. Initiating an unjustified or fraudulent bank chargeback is considered a breach of these terms and will result in the immediate and permanent suspension of your account, and a potential ban from our ecosystem.
5. Service Interruptions
Partial refunds or credits will not be issued for minor service interruptions, scheduled maintenance, or outages caused by third-party providers (e.g., Google Cloud, Vertex AI) that are outside of our direct control.
